Uhm... well, I've never looked at make source code
before, nor do I really know what I'm getting myself
into, and I don't have any time, but... what the hell.  
These things have never stopped me from contributing before :)

Sign me up.

I guess my first task is to fix this?  *sigh*...
I knew I shouldn't have complained :)

Good point.  Care to provide a package patch or release?  List, is
there a make
package maintainer assigned?  If not, Ryan, would you care to become
that?
