Chris, are you disagreeing with this post 
<http://cygwin.com/ml/cygwin-apps/2002-04/msg00298.html>, or repudiating 
the packaging method used by the packages listed below (and maybe others 
I missed), or merely asserting that when
   gzip -dc foo.tar.gz | bzip2 > foo.tar.bz2,
then foo.tar.bz2 is still just as "original" as foo.tar.gz?
