parrot .vim files

May I put the parrot vim syntax and other files into
usr/share/vim/vimfiles/?
usr/share/vim/vimfiles/ftplugin/parrot.vim
usr/share/vim/vimfiles/syntax/pasm.vim
usr/share/vim/vimfiles/syntax/pir.vim
usr/share/vim/vimfiles/syntax/pmc.vim
Otherwise I would have to create a postinstall script to put it into ~/.vim/
I'm not a vim user, so I don't know.
