This reminds me of the old Usenet joke about a consultant who was called
in to support an in-house product.  The complaint was that the Fortran
program compiled but didn't actually do anything.  Upon arrival he found
that every line of that program was commented out.  When confronted with
this fact, the employees claimed that this was the only way they could get
it to compile.  :-)
