This reminds me of the /net mount our HPUX boxes at work used to have.
You could access any filesystem on another host through /net/<hostname>/
so obviously we had to try to reach the last box from the first the
first one through /net/host01/host02/net/[...]/net/host48/home/foo/...
Lousy implementation though, because it basically hung after just a few
hops... :-(
