Yes you should use the UNIX make file.  Another suggestion would be to
remove the -D_WIN32 and -DWINNT from the specs file as conditioned
coding on these might give unexpected results.  At least run the
ifnames script which comes with the autoconf package to see if there
are any _WIN32 or WINNT specific conditions and check them out.
