Hello,
I'm not on the mailing-list, but got the same error when trying to run
the latest version of rsync with cygwin.
I'm pasting my post to the rsync bug tracking list.
----------------------------------------
Hi,
Not sure if it's a bug, but since I'm like very much rsync I want to use it in
windows too.
compiled rsync 2.4.1 under win98 with cygwin b20.1 with cygwin1.dll from
19990115
Get this error when trying to copy within the system.
bash-2.02$ rsync.exe -avW orig/ copy/
0 0 [main] C:\BIN\RSYNC.EXE 2883 handle_exceptions: Exception:
STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION
0 364 [main] RSYNC 2883 handle_exceptions: Dumping stack trace to
RSYNC.EXE.core
This works ok under the same system with rsync 2.3.2
Many thanks to those that made rsync what it is.
Jaime Cadete
