Re: g++ compiler cygwin to redhat linux

The standard gcc-2.95.2 source code from the gnu mirror sites works "out of the box" running gcc/g++/g77 on both my RH6.2 and my
Caldera. I found a binary .rpm, but it had dependencies on intermediate releases. I don't know any incentive to upgrade the
binutils for RH in this situation.

 The cygwin copies of the source code for gcc and binutils, which I found on the gd.tuwien.ac.at site, should work on linux, but I
would think it unnecessary to try this unless you wish to cross compile for cygwin. That may be the only role in which they have
been tested on linux.

Subject: g++ compiler cygwin to redhat linux

Hello,

On my REDHAT LINUX I have g++ -v : 2.91.66 (egcs 1.1.2) and ld -v: 2.9.1
(.0.24)

where can I found the cygwin versions (2.95.2 and 2.10.90) for REDHAT LINUX?
Can I compile the cygwin sources on REDHAT LINUX to get a executable on
REDHAT LINUX?
