ls.exe default settings wrong? was (Re: Using German Uml

Only one thing is dubious, from the help i got this, there is mentioned
that --show-control-chars should be default?

 -q, --hide-control-chars   print ? instead of non graphic characters
     --show-control-chars   show non graphic characters as-is (default)
