Corinna: SSH/SCP hangs on NT4SP6, sshd says broken pipe after sent adjust

I found out more about my current sshd/scp problem (see below) after reading
Corinna's announcement:

In fact, my problem (see below) goes away after switching back from p1-2 to
p1-1. Corinna, I have SCP problems with large files when talking to sshd
2.3.0p1-2 on both NT4SP6 and W2K (no SP). Probably everybody is affected, should
be easy to reproduce.

Let me know if you need more data. For now, I will stick to 2.3.0p1-1.
Regards,
Wolfgang

To: cygwin@sources.redhat.com

my server: NT4 SP6, latest Cygwin, sshd through srvany.exe
my client: RedHat 7, scp

Copying small files (14 KB in my example) works fine, but copying larger files
always hangs my Cygwin SSHD service.

The last few lines in the sshd -d -d -d log say

debug2: callback done
debug2: channel 0: read 3014 from efd 10
debug2: channel 0: window 16359 sent adjust 16409
Broken pipe

The client says (scp -v)

file_20mb 0% 0 --:-- ETA
Read from remote host xxx: Connection reset by peer
Exit status -1
lost connection

------------
Any ideas? Why does sshd adjust the window size? Could it be textmode/binmode
related?
Again, a small file (14KB) goes through smoothly, and I also have the same
Cygwin sshd working fine on a W2K box.
Regards,
Wolfgang
