RE: whoami and id returns "administrator" instead of my userid

I set /etc/passwd to
        mkpasswd -d  | grep bbarber >/etc/passwd

It worked

KANE:/usr/bin> id
uid=1985(bbarber) gid=3135(Administrators)

Previously I tried adding 'bbarber' to NT's Local users list.  That did not change
        mkpasswd -l
probably because I didn't assign 'bbarber' to the 'Administrators' group.
