RE: newbie: emacs & cygwin integration

Jerry,

I know this doesn't answer your question directly, but I am using Xemacs
21.1, and am having no problems. And both of the specific items you
mentioned work correctly, assuming you meant "in the right directory"
instead of "in the right shell".

Thanks,
	Eric Schmenk

Subject: newbie: emacs & cygwin integration

	Hi,

I couldn't find this in the FAQ, the docs, or the mailing list
archives.... My apologies as I know it must've been asked before.

Does anyone have any Emacs 20.3 extensions to integrate Emacs &
Cygwin/Bash
	together?

	1. Specifically, is there anyway to get dired or filename
completion to
	work with cygwin mounts?

	2. Is there anyway to get emacs' typical dired "follows the current

directory of the shell behavior" so that typing "cd" in an emacs'
bash
shell sets emacs so that a dired at that moment will be in the right
shell?

If this is in the FAQ I apologize, if it's not in the FAQ, it seems
that
Emacs & Cygwin Integration would be a wonderful addition to the FAQ.

	Thank you,

	Jerry Asher
