RE: mirror problems?

Now you catch on.
Yes, this is where I tried to get the distro.
Yes, it was skipping.
Yes, I am having software conflicts.
I just reset my machine just now.
On mine, all I have to do is pull P9, near the battery.
Back on line in five seconds, machine working great.
Need to scan and defrag again. And again.
Hint on scann the disk: Click on everything that clan be clicked. Free
space, no summary, etc.
Have the computer automaticcally repair errors as it is scanning.
Do a standard test.
Next, run Disk Defragmenter put speed up your programmings.
Works for me.
BTY might solve some software conflicts in Windows and Cygwin.
Especially the skipped files because they might testing it.
Gotta run.
Getting late and I'm tired. 140 messages to read.

Subject: mirror problems?

Has anyone else had weird setup problems when downloading from
mirrors.rcn.net? When I try it on win2k, it says there are several files
that can't be downloaded, which is skips over. Once the install is
complete, and I attempt to run bash, I've seen the following:

1st time I downloaded from mirrors.rcn.net:
bash.exe claimed it couldn't find cygwin1.dll

2nd time I downloaded from nasa.gov:
The bash prompt says "I have no name!@VITESSE ~".
