Quote it:

vi 'Beejs guide to network programming.thm'

Or use a regular expression:

vi Beejs*

You'll probably get a lot out of reading a book on Unix shells.

If you just want to read the file, you should probably use less, or at
least
use vi in read-only mode:

less Beejs*
vi -R Beejs*
