SSHD config

I would do the normal introductory apology for being a newbie, but the rest
of you had to start somewhere, so I'm just going to spill the problem. I am
sure I just am not seeing what's right in front of my nose, but I installed
a stand-alone version of an earlier SSHD with a somewhat modified
cygwin1.dll on advice of another user. Yes it DID totally mess up the
machine (I had an earlier version of cygwin installed). Following the FAQ's,
I removed every cygwin file, reference, etc. including reg keys and wrestled
out the stand-alone SSHD from the Srvany key and finally got the "hacked"
version of cygwin1.dll out of WinNt (I'm running under 2k pro). I then
rebooted, verified my system had been sterilized of cygwin completely and
reinstalled it from scratch (I should point out here that I did use the
recommended installer using default install). That being accomplished as a
smooth operation, I proceeded to invoke key generation using:

ssh-keygen -b 1024 -f /etc/ssh_host_key -N ''

that went perfect. I then went to start the daemon using:

/usr/sbin/sshd

and then it came back that there was no config file in /etc/rc ? I am now
stumped. I poked around in /etc and there are no subdirectories at all. Did
I miss something?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice!
