Guy, List,
here's tst.c (several flavors of it, that is):
// ************ version 1 ***********************
// foreward decl of foo()
// gcc -gcoff barfs with "C_EFCN symbol out of scope"
void foo();
int main(int argc, char **argv) {
foo(); // gcc -gcoff does not barf when this call is commented out
return 0;
}
void foo() {}
// ************ version 2 ***********************
// gcc -gcoff behaves
void foo() {}
int main(int argc, char **argv) {
foo();
return 0;
}
Note: there's no change in behaviour when I rename tst.c into tst.cpp!
