We are using Cygwin to host Sony's PS2 version of the GCC compiler to build our PS2 game. I use ee-ar to build some libraries and have found a problem where a command line length of > 32K fails with an error. I have included in 4Cygwin.zip because of list 100000 bytes limit an example which works & one that fails & the results of cygcheck. The working command line is 21941 characters long while the one that fail is 34651 characters long. I tried making it less than 32K but that didn't work. The path for ee-ar also contains the same version of the Cygwin1.dll as per my subject line. I have verified that by changing the root folder path from /Projects/thefarm/source/3rdparty/RenderWare/rwsdk3.5 to /RW/rwsdk3.5 it completes successfully. Also when pasting these command lines into a Cygwin window after filling a number of lines it then seems to keep overwriting the last line. It seemed to be limited to the # of visible lines in the output window (IE 25 for an 80x25 window) Thanks for your time, Brian Post, Torus Games 6-8 Floriston Road, Boronia, Victoria, 3155, Australia T: +61 3 9762 0522 F: +61 3 9762 0533
