Well it seems that I managed to start "tinydns" and get some (correct
and very fast) answers!
Problem seems to be with chroot:
even if ROOT=/usr/tmp/tinydns/root it searched the file
/usr/tmp/tinydns/root/usr/tmp/tinydns/root/data.cdb
(thanks, SysInternal's FileMon!)
I created it, just to try, and it now correctly resolves and reply.
Still no answer from dnscache, though.
Seems not to query the filesystem in any way, not even to erad the
root/ip and root/servers files he needs to start (I tried the trick of
the "absolute-in-chroot-patch" as above, but to no avail... after all
it didn't even try to open them, as FileMon reports)
