- Subject: setting $HOME variable
Ive been trying to set the home variable.
i want home to be c:\cygwin\home\
ive tried setting this in the .bat files and in .bashrc but it doesnt work.
If i type echo $HOME i get this
/cygdrive/c/Documents and Settings/UserName
Ive read that its in /etc/passwd where it actually looks for the home
directory, but what do you chage? How can i set it so when i start the bash
its starts in the right directory?
Any help will be appreciated!
