Trying to compile: mpd subversion (musicpd.org), which is a server to control your music over a tcp network on default port 6600. Uname -a: CYGWIN_NT-5.1 computer 1.5.12(0.116/4/2) 2004-11-10 08:34 i686 unknown unknown Cygwin Environment: Windows XP I have gotten mpd-subversion compiled sucessfully, execution fails, with the error message 'Bad System Call' even when adding --no-daemon. Execution to get strace: CYGWIN=server strace /usr/local/bin/mpd.exe I have attached an strace and a cygcheck.out. The issue seems to lie in: transport_layer_pipes::connect: Error opening the pipe (2) client_request::make_request: cygserver un-available After doing some googling I was not able to find much out, and request more information about how to rectify this error. thanks, avuton olrich -- Anyone who quotes me in their sig is an idiot. -- Rusty Russell.
