To not get confused with (C- or shell-)string literals, I prefer to
use ``blah''. (info uses `blah', and here is an (arbitrary?) quote from
the bash man-page:
|       PS1    The value of this parameter is expanded  (see  PROMPTING  below)
|              and  used  as  the  primary prompt string.  The default value is
|              ``\s-\v\$ ''.

Those <`> are called back-ticks... (and there is nothing arbitrary
about my use of them, IMHO.)

I did accidently start my quotes with <''>, not <``>. Sorry about that.
