mkpasswd group

When I open my cygwin console window I get the
following message displayed each time:

Your group is currently "mkpasswd". This indicates
that
the /etc/passwd (and possibly /etc/group) files should
be rebuilt.
See the man pages for mkpasswd and mkgroup then, for
example, run
mkpasswd -l [-d] > /etc/passwd
mkgroup -l [-d] > /etc/group
Note that the -d switch is necessary for domain users.

I have run the commands as specified but each time I
open the console window again I get the same message.
I have researched this mailing list as well as google
and found similiar listings but was unable to find
resolutions to this issue.

Regards,

Mike Blanco
