There is no official cygwin version of gcc 4.1 yet.  But you are welcome
to help move in that direction by downloading gcc 4.1 from gcc.gnu.org and
compiling it yourself, and help us work out the bugs.  But read what you
were told earlier in this thread: don't compile C++ code with gcc, use g++
instead.
