Perhaps you meant to imply that CYGWIN=nontsec should not be used but if you
are going to go down this road then you might have to prove that a few other
no... options should not be used either.

I think the basic advice is actually "Don't randomly change CYGWIN settings
in an attemp to fix a problem unless you understand what they do or have been
instructed to change them by someone who understands what they do".
