Hi Larry, Once again a big thankyou for your excellant work.
Can I use the cygcheck from 1.5 to check the installation of 1.7?
No, but it will tell you about 1.5. If your 1.7 is truly DOA, it might be good to know if your 1.5 results suggest anything.I have attached the setup logs from the 1.5 version of cygwin I have runnig on this computer. I cannot see anything wrong with them, but then I do not really not what I am looking for.
I hope this helps identify why I cannot get a command prompt from 1.7.
I was actually looking for the 'cygcheck -s -r -v' output from 1.5, not the setup.log* files.
