If I install pinentry-gnome3, then 'gpg2 -bs' works fine when run from an xterm window; a dialogue box pops up and I can enter the passphrase.
A second issue, which seems to just be cosmetic, is that I get the following message every time I run gpg2 -bs:
gpg: selecting openpgp failed: No such deviceGoogling suggests that this has something to do with OpenPGP smart cards, but I don't have one:
$ gpg2 --card-status gpg: selecting openpgp failed: No such device gpg: OpenPGP card not available: No such deviceDo I need to put something in ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf to tell gpg2 that I don't have a card?
cygcheck output is attached. Ken P.S. An unrelated matter: Shouldn't gnupg2 require pinentry?
